It's a little embarrassing to see that the last post here was almost 3 years ago!! Life has been going in overdrive for the last 3 years and updating the blog seems to have been something I would get to "when life slowed down" which I realistically didn't think would happen until all the kids were done with high school and out of the house!
Well life has definitely slowed down this past month. For future reference- we are dealing with the Corona virus CIVD-19 Pandemic right now. Schools have been closed and transitioned to online learning... Businesses are closed if they are non- essential, and people have gone to working from home online to keep as many people cloistered in their homes and in small groups and not interacting to pass on this virus as much- trying to limit exposure, to keep the hospitals from becoming overwhelmed with patients. It is a deadly virus for those with respiratory problems and other immuno- compromised health issues. It is a nasty virus for even those in excellent health...
So Alyssa and Angela are doing High School from home, using Zoom and facetime to keep in contact with friends, and turning in schoolwork over the internet. Ashley is in San Antonio in her apartment, doing online college now that the colleges have all shuttered their doors and sent as many students home as could go home. She's able to keep her schedule on her own better, and had been working until they decided the medical scribes were non- essential for now- it was just one more position to try and keep safe in the hospital, and telling them to not come into work saved protective masks and gloves for the nurses and dr's to use. Alex is living with my parents in Utah. His job closed up the 3rd week of March, so he is just hanging out with them and waiting for this to pass and hoping he will be able to go back to work when it's over. Rich is working from home. I'm getting used to cooking every day again and getting into a routine with everyone home every day... all day long...
There's no way to fully catch up on the last almost 3 years, but I'll try and put some posts up with some significant events- So i can have them here in the future to look back on.
