THE NEWTON'S

From San Antonio we drove to Nacadoches Texas, where Rich's sister Laura and her family live.  We did a little detour and drove by our old home in The Woodlands, Tx and took a picture of where Alyssa was born, and our old house. In Nacadoches the kids had a fun time getting to know their cousins better.  We had a great time going to the zoo and playing at the park and just spending some time hanging out.  The biggest reason I wanted to get a new camera with a zoom lense... is for the park.  I LOVED being able to stay on the outskirts of the playground and snap pictures of the kids just doing what they do best- playing- laughing, and having fun! We did have one child who wasn't thrilled about the playground stop of the day... it's hard being the oldest cousin sometimes... We didn't realize it when we planned the trip, but we were there on Bob's birthday.  So we helped their family celebrate and helped them eat a very yummy homemade carrot c...

Day two on our trip was all about Sea World!  I had been to one in Highschool on a Choir trip, but the kids had never been before.  They have changed a lot and now have fast rides and a water park in addition to the shows that they had before. The first order of buisness in any amusement park for our kids is to get maps... they must all have their own individual map to look at and memorize and find the things they want to go on... then they all fold them up and expect Rich and I to carry them and keep track of who's is whose for the rest of the day!  The Shamu show was great.  There is a baby whale that is just over a year and a half old that came in and swam around with her mommy during the pre-show time and a few times in the show they brought her in the show tank and kept her to the side while the mom participated.  Then we went to the Azul show.  It is a combination of Dolphins and acrobatics and diving and is just loads of fun!  The ki...
