Day two on our trip was all about Sea World! I had been to one in Highschool on a Choir trip, but the kids had never been before. They have changed a lot and now have fast rides and a water park in addition to the shows that they had before.
The first order of buisness in any amusement park for our kids is to get maps... they must all have their own individual map to look at and memorize and find the things they want to go on... then they all fold them up and expect Rich and I to carry them and keep track of who's is whose for the rest of the day!
The Shamu show was great. There is a baby whale that is just over a year and a half old that came in and swam around with her mommy during the pre-show time and a few times in the show they brought her in the show tank and kept her to the side while the mom participated.
Then we went to the Azul show. It is a combination of Dolphins and acrobatics and diving and is just loads of fun! The kids wanted to get wet and marched right down the stairs to the "wet zone" what we realized as we were waiting for the show to start is that the wet zone wasn't for getting wet during the show, but during the pre-show! The blue box right behind us... actually is a platform with water that squirts up and out and the pre-show character succeeds in getting everyone around him soaking wet! lol!
Of course we went on the rides as well!
And had our traditional theme park ice cream for lunch!
The sea lion show is actually the same general show that I saw back in highschool, but that's because it's fun and entertaining and a great show. The kids were hopeful and wanted to get wet and marched down to the front row... Rich and I didn't quite want to get wet so we observed from a few rows back.
They had a really neat Penguin house with a great penguin exhibit.
The rest of the day we went and had fun at the water park area of Sea World. The wave pool, lazy river, and water slides! It was a great fun day. :)
